The Club 420 is the standard double-handed training and youth-racing dinghy across North American sailing programs and college teams. A bowsprit, symmetric spinnaker, and trapeze (on the Club variant) teach the full skill set without the cost or fragility of the International 420. If you sailed in a US junior program after 1995, you almost certainly sailed one.
